PUBLISH is pleased to announce the issuance of the “June 25th Korean War Memorial Day NFT” in recognition of the 73rd anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.
The June 25th Korean War Memorial Day commemorates the outbreak of the Korean War on June 25, 1950. The day serves to remember the sacrifices made during the war, pay respect to veterans and those who lost their lives, and contemplate the historical significance and lessons of the conflict. The war lasted for more than three years until the signing of an armistice agreement on July 27, 1953.
The war was responsible for tremendous infrastructure damage and loss of human life. On the South Korean side, infrastructure damage alone equated to two years' worth of the country's gross national product at that time. Additionally, the war resulted in significant casualties and missing persons, including approximately 620,000 South Korean military personnel, 990,000 civilians, and 1.5 million UN military personnel. North Korea suffered approximately 640,000 North Korean military casualties, 1.5 million civilian casualties, and 970,000 casualties within the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
